If there is not enough money in the bank to buy an item , would amazon notify me of this on my account?

Amazon is going to make sure that you have enough money before processing the transaction. That's just a delivery estimate.. you know, the time it takes to get the merchandise, pack it, and get it shipped to your doorstep.
