Buy or sell: 90's rap is overrated?

Well shyt evolves and hip hop is so based on technology that the music is gonna sound better. Also wordplay and subject matter to a lesser extent gets better and more unique as well. It's like sports; athletes from 20 years ago aren't gonna be able to compete with the best athletes today. Personally I'd rather bump shyt from today because most old shyt sounds mad corny to me but if you grew up then I could see you preferring it, but not because it sounds better.
