South Floridians in Broward County, is there any rules against planting trees in your yard to make it have?

a "wooded" look, such as planting 10-14 pond cypress in a group on your property? I ask because I never see this sort of thing and wonder if it is actually forbidden, or is it OK and just nobody is into that sort of thing.
